Hibiscus Tea

I have been making hibiscus tea for a while.  It is beneficial for people suffering from high blood pressure.  But it has a very sour taste.  So I tried adding ginger and honey and it turned out delicious...Hibiscus is also called sorrel in Jamaica.  Here is the recipe...

Ingredients:

Dried hibiscus flowers or Sorrel - 1 cup
Boiling water - 4 cups
Ginger - 7 grams or one large slice of ginger
Honey - 8 teaspoons

In a tea pot add 1 cup of dried sorrel or hibiscus flower. Put the ginger slice in a mortar & pestle and beat it lightly.  Add the ginger to the tea pot.  Add honey and then add boiling water.  Mix with a spoon so the honey is dissolved completely. Close the teapot and let it steep for 4 hours.  Using a filter pour required amount of hibiscus tea into a cup and enjoy...
